Blog Task II, poster about multicultural and cooperative learning
I would like to comment on the poster about multicultural and cooperative learning because I liked the keywords the group provided. I really think that the group came up with some great ideas and in my opinion, the poster is very clearly arranged. Nevertheless, the group could have been a little more creative but there are coloured titles (communication, presentation, research) and good ideas (skype, emails, chat, homepages, search engines etc.). I can’t think of something they missed out ! interesting poster about the role that the internet plays in multicultural and cooperative learning

Hi Sophie,
I was actually in the group that has designed the poster which you’ve commented on. In terms of multicultural and cooperative learning, the Internet obviously offers many opportunities. However, there is at least a disadvantage which came to my mind afterwards and needs to be considered. If students chat with others they might use more informal language and more abbreviations. In such cases, the students might neglect the style of language and then teacher has to make the students aware of this fact in order to avoid them to do so. Therefore, the teacher should state explicitly that the students have to pay attention to the style of language used because it might become relevant for grading. Finally, I’m glad that you like the poster and agree with the aspects listed on the poster.
See u!
